Hamas delegation meets Russian official in Doha

A delegation from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Moscow’s special envoy to the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov in Doha. The Hamas delegation was led by the head of the movement’s political bureau, Khaled Meshaal.

A statement from Hamas on Monday said that the two sides discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian arena, including the Israeli escalations in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank. Other issues on the agenda included the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip under the Israeli-led siege, Palestinian national reconciliation and regional matters.
