Further incursions into Al-Aqsa over Passover holidays

April 25, 2016 at 9:50 am

During the Jewish Passover celebrations, hundreds of Jewish Israelis protected by the Israeli police made incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and attempted to slaughter sheep inside, Safa news agency reported.

A number of Al-Aqsa Mosque guards prevented five Israelis from slaughtering a sheep inside the Mosque.

There has been an increase of tension at Al-Aqsa as a result of calls from some Israeli organisations for further incursions during the Jewish holiday.

At the same time, Israeli police have been putting severe restrictions on Palestinian worshipers entering the Mosque.

Israeli forces arrested many Palestinians worshipers and banned some from entering Al-Aqsa during the period of the Jewish holidays.
