Israeli officials expect intifada to become more dangerous

April 28, 2016 at 2:52 pm

Israeli military officials expect a new “more dangerous” intifada to begin in spite of the reduction in Palestinian attacks against Israelis, Yedioth Ahronoth reported yesterday.

The officials said that the bombing of the Israeli bus in Jerusalem returned the image of the Second Intifada of 2000.

A military official at the illegal Israeli settlement block of Gush Etzion, south of occupied Hebron, said 12 Palestinians from a small village of 2,500 residents carried out attacks in two and half a month.

“We checked all the families of these attackers,” he said, “and we imposed certain restrictions against their families.”

Another official expected the intifada to develop into another stage; stressing Palestinians do not go backwards.
