Egypt calls for Egyptians to boycott Muslim Brotherhood

The Egyptian government has launched a smearing campaign against the Muslim Brotherhood, describing them as aids” and calling for Egyptians to boycott them, Arabi21.com reported on Friday.

In a statement, the Egyptian Awqaf ministry warned Egyptians from mixing with Muslim Brotherhood members or the people who sympathise with them.

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Jomaa said in the statement, according to Arabi21.com, that the Muslim Brotherhood had fallen morally to a degree that no one can coexist with it, accept or mix with it”.

He called for Egyptians not to rent apartments or real estate to MB members in order not to fall under unintentional tyranny” or be accused of harbouring terrorists”.

The minister also called for all businessmen in the public and private sectors to expel Muslim Brotherhood members from their works or at least any leading posts.

In addition, the ministry mentioned certain countries, without naming them, saying they receive Muslim Brotherhood members and give them refuge.

The former Egyptian Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim also accused the MB of inciting Egyptians to reject the Egyptian concession of the two islands to Saudi Arabia.
