Coalition drones hit Daesh bomb factory in Syria

Military sources say at least two Daesh militants have been killed by US-led coalition drones launched from Turkey.

Two MQ-1 Predators took off from southern Turkey’s Incirlik base in Adana on Saturday and hit a building inside Syria being used to produce explosives and car bombs, according to a Turkish security source speaking on Sundayon condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

The building was located in Azaz city, northwestern Syria, roughly 32 kilometers [20 miles] north-northwest of Aleppo.

It is believed that a number of other Daesh militants have been trapped inside the building which collapsed after being hit.

In the last 18 months, the US-led coalition has conducted more than 11,000 air strikes and aircraft have flown nearly 89,000 sorties in support of operations in Iraq and Syria.

The operations have cost the US approximately $12 million to date and US-led airstrikes have reportedly destroyed more nearly 23,000 Daesh targets.
