The enforcement of Israeli laws in the occupied West Bank is a step towards the annexation of the territories, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned.
Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked announced her intention to submit a draft law to the Knesset to enforce Israeli legislation on settlers in the West Bank.

It pointed out that Israeli actions against the Palestinian people and their homeland “has always aimed to build a proper climate for imposing new facts on the ground” and obtaining Tel Aviv’s “real goal: the annexation of the Palestinian land.”
These are “trials” to test the reaction of the international community towards Israel.
The Palestinian Authority pointed out that the Israeli government “publicly” admits that it “is blocking the way in the face of all international efforts to save the two-state solution.”
It demanded the international community “deal very seriously” with the risk that accompanies these calls, and take a “clear and explicit position” to prevent Israel from achieving its plans that destroy peace and opportunities for the resumption of negotiations.
