Erdogan: Turkey will continue open-door policy for Syrian refugees

May 16, 2016 at 3:26 pm

Turkey will continue its open-door policy for Syrian refugees, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday.

Speaking at the 9th International Istanbul Youth Forum, Erdogan said 600,000 people have been killed in Syria since the outbreak of the unrest in the country while more than six million others have been forced to leave their homeland and move abroad.

“Terrorist organisations like Daesh and the PYD, backed by the Syrian regime, have committed ethnic cleansing in the territories they occupied.”

Erdogan criticised countries who did not defend the oppressed who were killed by terrorist groups as much as they defended the murderers and terrorist organisations that killed them.
