Saudi air force take part in military exercise in Turkey

Saudi Arabia yesterday announced the arrival of units from the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) to Turkey to participate in military exercises which started on Saturday and will end on 11 June, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Commander of the participating RSAF personnel, Colonel Ali Bin Dhafer Al Omari, said the joint exercise dubbed EFES 2016 in conjunction with the Turkish Air Force, aims to advance the Saudi Air Force’s administrative and support skills as well as their readiness.

Saudi and Qatari Special Forces arrived in the city of Izmir on Friday to participate in EFES 2016 exercise, SPA reported.

Turkish-Saudi relations have witnessed growing cooperation in several fields including military.
