Hamas leader: Israel is legitimising the killing of Palestinians

The Israeli occupation is legitimising the killing of Palestinians to evade any accountability or international trial, Hamas MP Yahya Moussa said on Sunday.

“The Israeli occupation issues laws that serve its objectives to kill more Palestinians, put them in prison and displace them from their land,” Moussa said in remarks to Alresaleh.net.

His remarks come after news that right-wing Yisrael Beiteinu party leader Avigdor Lieberman had demanded the military be allowed to execute Palestinians found guilty of carrying out hostile acts against Israeli targets. Lieberman is negotiating the terms for his part to join Prime Minister Benjamin Netayahu’s coalition government.

“Law was founded to achieve justice, but the Israeli occupation uses it to kill Palestinians and confiscate their land,” Moussa said. He stressed that this law will not stop Palestinians fighting back against Israeli violations.
