Arab MK: Israel’s political crisis is deepening

May 25, 2016 at 12:09 pm

Including Avigdor Lieberman and his party in the Israeli government would deepen the crisis faced by the administration, the head of the Joint List said yesterday.

“This is insistence on systematic racism by the government and a proof of the crisis in the political process in Israel,” Ayman Odeh said.

“The inclusion of Lieberman in the government and as head of the defence ministry will be strongly objected by the opposition parties in the coming months and their criticism will be directed against [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu personally.”

Netanyahu’s police and his supporters are currently dominant in Israel, he explained.

He noted that all the parties in the coalition want the government, which has so far failed to achieve its election pledges, to continue.
