PFLP calls on Palestinians to reject French initiative

May 30, 2016 at 12:48 pm

The Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has called on Palestinians at home and in the diaspora to reject the French Peace Initiative, QudsNet reported on Sunday. The organisation asked for protests to be staged in Palestine and abroad to reject the initiative, which it claims ignores Palestinian rights, including the right to return.

June 3 and 4 have been suggested as suitable days for such protests. The PFLP stressed the importance of the demonstrations being as big as possible in order to undermine the efforts being done to revive the so-called peace process.

Meanwhile, the organisation called on Palestinian officials and parties to express their rejection of the French moves “clearly”, mainly because the leadership has been marketing it without having the initiative discussed by the PLO or any of the Palestinian factions.
