Israeli forces assaults demonstrators calling for boycott

Israeli occupation forces assaulted peaceful Palestinian demonstrators in the West Bank city of Bethlehem as they called for boycotting Israeli products, Quds Press reported yesterday.

Israeli forces fired bullets and gas canisters at demonstrators, violently dispersing them.

Protest coordinator Munthir Ameera said the demonstration was held as a result of the increasing consumption of Israeli products, which rises dramatically in the month of Ramadan.

Demonstrators hoped to send a message to the Palestinian agents of Israeli companies asking them to stop importing Israeli products and to look for alternatives to meet the needs of the Palestinian market.
