Israel launches four-pronged war against BDS

June 23, 2016 at 11:13 am

Israel has reportedly launched a four-pronged war against the success of the BDS movement, according to AlKhaleejonline.com.

Israeli officials discussed the plan to tackle the growing popularity of the movement in the latest security conference in the Israeli city of Herzliya and in a conference dedicated for this purpose organised three months ago in Jerusalem, AlKhaleejonline.com reported.

According to the news site, the first element of the plan is to collect intelligence on people and organisations, followed by efforts to deter members of BDS by closing bank accounts and putting political pressure on them. It also involves casting doubt on BDS by connecting it to terrorist organisations, for example, which could lead to investigations.

The fourth prong would be to increase pro-Israel propaganda, including funding trips for Israeli students to go to the US and Europe to speak with students there.
