The Israeli government approved on Sunday some 50 million Israeli shekels ($12.9m) in support for the Israeli settlements of Kiryat Arba in the West Bank district of Hebron, agencies reported.
“It is a matter of fact to say that all the [Israeli] ministries had been recruited to help the residents [Jewish settlers] to face the attacks,” Netanyahu said in the statement.
An attack on Israeli settlers in Kiryat Arba was announced on Saturday evening, but no Israeli casualties were reported.
Around 700,000 Israeli settlers live in settlements built on Palestinian land in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The international community considers these settlements illegal.
