Palestine Mufti warns of increasing Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa

Palestine and Jerusalem Mufti Sheikh Mohamed Hussein yesterday warned of the increasing Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that it is a “redline for all Muslims around the world”, Quds Press reported.

Hussein said 352 Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday and Wednesday. They performed religious rituals inside the mosque’s courtyard under the protection of Israeli police and Special Forces.

The increasing number of violations highlights that Israel is not interesting in maintaining the status quo with regards the mosque, he added.

“The continuous aggression on the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of a series of escalations started a long time ago to reinforce the partition of the Islamic holy site,” Hussein said.

Meanwhile, he pointed out to the increasing Israeli restrictions placed on the Muslim worshipers who perform prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. He stressed on the importance of increasing the Muslim presence at the mosque to undermine Israel’s Judaisation plans.
