Bouteflika reiterates Algeria’s readiness to continue building on its partnership with France

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, renewed his country’s readiness to continue to build an exceptional partnership with France. He expressed his satisfaction with the intense, ongoing political dialogue between the two countries.

This came in a greeting message sent by Bouteflika to the French President Francois Hollande on the occasion of the National Day of France yesterday.

In his message, Bouteflika stressed on the excellent friendship and cooperation between the two countries who share lots of mutual values and common interests, expressing his desire to continue to build on this partnership.

The Algerian president expressed his satisfaction with the intensity of the on-going political dialogue between the two countries.

“This promising dialogue is marked with our commitment to wisely address all the issues in a spirit of mutual trust and understanding, to promote convergence of positions and approaches to the major issues of our time,” Bouteflika said.

He stressed that this will enhance the partnership between Algeria and France.

Bouteflika also renewed Algeria’s willingness to further enhance its cooperation with France in fighting cross-border terrorism and violent extremism, as well as in efforts that aim to achieve cultural objectives in the area of peace, security and development, according to a new course of international relations that adequately meet the peoples’ aspirations.
