Israel bombs Syrian regime post in Quneitra

An Israeli jet reportedly hit a Syrian regime army post near the Syrian side of the Golan Heights yesterday.

Al-KhaleejOnline reported private sources as saying that the bombing resulted in numerous deaths and injuries in Al-Ba’ath city.

Eyewitnesses reported that ambulances carried the wounded from the attack.

According to preliminary reports, the post was used as a headquarters for joint operations between the Syrian regime forces and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

The Israeli army refused to comment on the attack.

Earlier in the day, gunfire hit an army post near the Israeli town of Metulla near the Lebanese border. The Israeli army said it was investigating but believed the bullets to be stray fire from across the border.
