The number of Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike is on the rise, a spokesperson for the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said.
Some 325 detainees are on hunger strike in protest against Israel’s arbitrary practices against them and the policy of administrative detention.
In remarks to Quds Press, Dirar Al-Hroub called on international human rights organisations to pressure Israel to respect prisoners’ rights and stop its aggression against them.
On Monday, the prisoners’ media office reported that the Israeli authorities have cut the electricity and water supplies in the Nafha prison and slapped a two-month ban on visits on Palestinian inmates affiliated with Hamas.
