Saudi-led coalition: 80% of Yemen under government control

Eighty per cent of Yemen is under government control, the Anadolu Agency reported the spokesperson of the Saudi-led coalition saying yesterday.

Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Asiri said that “protecting the borders of the kingdom is a duty”, adding that the Houthis had attacked Saudi on numerous occasions.

Reports of the Houthis’ violations were sent to the UN during the Kuwait discussions, but after talks stopped “there is no need to send such reports.”

However, he said that discussions and consultations with the UN are ongoing in spite of the fact that the talks have halted.
