Palestinian MP and activists banned from Canada

Palestinian MP Mustafa Barghouti and a number of activists were denied Canadian visas stopping them from taking part in an international conference in Montreal started yesterday, the Safa news agency reported.

In a statement, Barghouti said that he was invited by Canadian activists and parties to take part in the World Parliament Forum. However, he was refused a visa.

He stressed that preventing Palestinians from receiving visas harms Canada's image.
