Two policemen killed during shoot out in Northern Egypt

August 21, 2016 at 11:11 am

Two policemen were killed and five people injured in a shooting attack Sunday in northern Egypt.
Gunmen opened fire on a security checkpoint in the Nile Delta’s Menoufiya province and fled the scene, the official MENA news agency reported.

The attack left two policemen dead and five people, including two civilians, injured, MENA said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the shooting.

Egypt has been roiled by turmoil since the military unseated Mohamed Morsi, the country’s first freely elected president, in a 2013 military coup.
