A man has cycled 8,150 kilometres from his hometown in China to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, Saudi’s Sabq news agency reported.

Taif Cycling Club welcomed Mohammed, who had set off from his home in Xinjiang, in northwest China, to their city and escorted him on the last leg of his journey to Makkah.

The head of the cycling club, Nayef Al Rawas, expressed his excitement and said more cycling clubs across the country will introduce Mohammed to other parts of the country.
