Clinton vows never to use American troops in Iraq, Syria

US Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has vowed never to use American ground troops in Syria or Iraq “ever again”.

Addressing US military veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan in New York, she pledged: “We are not putting ground troops into Iraq ever again, and we are not putting ground troops into Syria.”

Speaking at the same event, the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, described Hilary as “trigger happy” as he struck a different pose stating the importance of “taking the oil in the Middle East” while adding:  “We [the US] would leave a certain group behind and they would take the various sections where they have the oil.”

The two are on a collision course ahead of November’s election to see who will take the seat in the White House.
