Fifteen families living in the Hamsa Al-Fawqa area in the northern Jordan Valley were evacuated from their homes this morning to allow for an Israeli military exercise.

Moataz Bisharat, an official in the Tubas and North Jordan Valley area, said the civil administration of the occupation forces notified the families in the area to evacuate their homes for three days to allow for a large-scale military exercise in the region.

Israeli forces regularly undertake military exercises in the Negev and Jordan Valley giving Palestinian families hours to leave their homes and offering them no compensation.
