Pro-regime forces have hit two hospitals on Wednesday in Aleppo. At the same time ground forces stepped up their assault on opposition controlled parts of the city. Eight peoples were killed, including two patients.

Mohammad Abu Rajab, a radiologist at one of the hospitals told Reuters

The warplane flew over us and directly started dropping its missiles … at around 4 am … Rubble fell in on the patients in the intensive care unit.

Workers at the M10 hospital – which was hit – told Reuters that oxygen and power generators were destroyed and patients were transferred to another hospital.

According to Carlos Francisco of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF),

this comes at a time when east Aleppo has been under siege since July and is suffering the bloodiest indiscriminate bombing since the beginning of the war
