Saudi Arabia to continue testing Egyptian food products

September 29, 2016 at 3:27 pm

The Saudi government Organisation of Consumers Protection Association (OCPA) has announced that it will continue testing Egyptian food products, Moheet.com reported yesterday.

The organisation said that it followed up reports produced by different governmental and non-governmental departments in several countries and found no proof that any person was infected by hepatitis after consuming Egyptian strawberries.

According to a statement issued by the OCPA, only the US’ FDA reported a number of hepatitis infections caused by consuming juices that included Egyptian strawberries.

Although no confirmed cases of contamination or infection was found that could be linked to Egyptian produce, the OCPA announced that it will continue to screen and test Egyptian food products, including strawberries, to make sure they are safe and free of any dangers.
