Arab Israelis urged to visit Al-Aqsa frequently during Jewish holidays

Arab Israelis have been urged to increase their visits to Al-Aqsa Mosque in light of the intensification of Israel’s policies against it especially during the upcoming Jewish holidays which begin this evening.

Activists and community leaders said Al-Aqsa will withstand all Israeli aggressions against it.

Head of the Islamic Movement in Israel, Sheikh Hussam Abu Leil said: “We are making an urgent appeal to our people in Israel and in Jerusalem to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque as it is still in danger and is still a target. Every day we discover new practices which the occupation is undertaking and they are getting worse and intensifying day by day both on worshippers who are praying in the mosque and those who have withdrawn there for religious devotion or worship.”

He said the Israeli policies are proof that the occupation wishes to rid Al-Aqsa Mosque of Muslims.

“This is an urgent appeal which we are highlighting today and every day for men and women to increase their trips to Al-Aqsa Mosque and to Jerusalem, do not leave Al-Aqsa alone. We are the protective shield and the first row of protection for the mosque.”

Abu Leil stressed that the occupations policies which aim to divide the mosque specially or temporally will not wield results.
“As long there are amongst us those who stand up against these dangerous schemes, and take on their duty, there will never come a day when we will give up Al-Aqsa Mosque, not even one atom of its soil.”
