Maliki: Post-Daesh stage will be most complicated

October 3, 2016 at 11:40 am

The time after Daesh is expelled from Iraq will be the most complicated as the “revolution stealers” will try to carry out a political coup by calling on people not to take part in electing a political majority government, Quds Press reported the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, warned yesterday.

In a speech he delivered during a celebration in support of the Iraqi armed forces and the Shia militia, Al-Maliki reiterated the importance of standing against anyone who tries to circumvent the constitution, warning this would lead to the disintegration of the state.

He also called for all people and parties to maintain tranquillity and order and protect them from the “gangs” and “militias” planning to control the fortunes of the country.

In addition, he called for standing against the “violations, stealing and blackmailing” carried out by the “outlawed criminal gangs”.
