Twenty-five people were killed by heavy air strikes on opposition-held areas of Aleppo, Wednesday according to the Civil Defence, a rescue service working in rebel-held areas.
Fifteen of the killed were at a market place in the Fardous district However, the Syrian army denies targeting civilians.
Opposition groups compared the recent wave of air strikes to the level seen at the start of the Russian-backed campaign to capture Aleppo.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based organisation, said that it recorded 55 people killed in the last 48 hours. It also said that four people were killed in government-held areas by insurgent shelling.
