Israeli forces injured eight Palestinian youths during clashes on Wednesday afternoon at Al-Quds University in Abu Dis village, east of Jerusalem.

Quds Press quoted an eyewitness saying that the clashes with the youths took place outside of the University, and then expanded to chase students inside the campus.

He added that eight people were injured of inhaling toxic tear gas, after the occupation forces have fired rubber-coated bullets and tear gas bombs at the young men.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s paramedic said to Quds Press that 8 Palestinian youths were injured of suffocation due to the inhalation of toxic gas during clashes which broke out in Abu Dis village.

The occupation forces have targeted the university students on Monday where 27 students were injured of suffocation due to an intensive tear gas firing outside and inside the university campus.

Israeli forces have been targeting Quds University students continuously over the past years. The university was also exposed to an Israeli incitement campaign after displaying a number of martyrs’ pictures during student events.

    Ronald Bleier:

“Israel’s original sin is Zionism, the ideology that a Jewish state should replace the former Palestine. At the root of the problem is Zionism’s exclusivist structure whereby only Jews are treated as first-class citizens. In order to create and consolidate a Jewish state in 1948, Zionists expelled 750,000 Palestinians from their homeland and never allowed them or their descendants to return. In addition, Israeli forces destroyed over 400 Palestinian villages and perpetrated about three dozen massacres. In 1967, the Israelis forced another 350,000 Palestinians to flee the West Bank and Gaza as well as 147,000 Syrians from the Golan Heights. Since 1967 Israel has placed the entire Palestinian population of the Territories under military occupation.”

What former Palestine are you talking about? Jews were the only people to ever have a statal formation in Palestine. Do you deny their legitimate right to have a country of their own? If Palestinians were expelled from Palestine so were the Jews from from Middle East and North Africa countries. It is more than clear that Jews’ descendants cannot return to their forefathers’ homes, so why should Palestinians’ descendants. Have you ever heard of ” change of populations”. That worked well between India and Pakistan, so why not between Arabs and Jews? I unbderstand you are a proud Arab women, but you should understand also that not only Arabs have the right to a state of their own in Palestine the others (Jews) have the right too.Accept that and live your life in peace.
