Israeli occupation forces raided the Palestinian Abu-Dis University in occupied Jerusalem on Monday, Quds Press has reported. Almost 50 Palestinians were shot and wounded during the attack when students clashed with the troops.

The Israelis opened fire and threw tear gas canisters at the students within and around the university campus. Paramedics from the Palestinian Red Crescent treated two students wounded by rubber-coated steel bullets and 45 others who suffered from breathing problems due to the tear gas.

The Israeli occupation forces have raided the University of Abu-Dis several times recently, firing tear gas and rubber-steel bullets on each occasion. Students’ education has been disrupted by the attacks.

In Hebron, meanwhile, Israeli troops opened fire and threw tear gas canisters at Palestinian students inside the Polytechnic University. Quds Press reported that a number of students suffered breathing problems and received treatment.
