Muslim Brotherhood welcomes British report criticising government review

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt have been briefed about the British Parliament’s report which criticises the government’s review on the Muslim Brotherhood and describes it as misguided.

The report outlines that the review neglected important facts about the group and in particular its confrontation of the military coup and its subsequent repression and exclusion.

The Muslim Brotherhood welcomed the report and the facts that were included in it about the group, in particular its rejection of terrorism and violence and about its methodology and practices that are well known to all.

The Muslim Brotherhood would like to affirm that it remains politically open to engagement with all people and would like to appeal to international forces, especially governments, to stop supporting dictatorial regimes and to listen to the people who are seeking freedom and democracy.
