Report: Daesh steals organs from its members to raise funds

Daesh has stolen human organs from its own members as they receive treatment in some of Nineveh’s hospitals, local sources revealed yesterday.

Iraqi media outlets quoted sources as saying that a “special medical unit belonging to Daesh has stolen human organs from 85 of its own militants in Nineveh hospitals including kidneys and other organs and transferred them to another hospital.”

It pointed out that the group has increased the theft of human organs from its members and anyone who has entering hospitals.

The source said the group lost the majority of its funds, especially crude oil that provided 80 per cent of its total income, so it started to trade in human organs to revive its finances.
