Dispute between Houthis and Saleh supporters worsens

November 22, 2016 at 1:34 pm

Disputes between Yemen’s Houthi rebels and supporters of ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh are said to have deepened.

Al-Khaleej Online reported an unnamed source as saying that Houthi businessman, Yahya Al- Habbari, expelled a media crew working for the Yemen Today news channel which is affiliated with Ali Abdullah Saleh, from an event.

According to the source, the news crew were planning to cover an event organised by an organisation headed by Al-Habbari at the invitation of the organisation’s media department but the businessman asked them to immediately leave.

The incident comes as Saleh’s supporters on social networking sites wage a campaign against Houthi spokesman Mohammad Abdulsalam after he reached an agreement with Arab States which they believe ignored Saleh.
