The regime of Syria’s President Bashar Al-Assad has seized the home of the late Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafik Al-Hariri in Damascus and transferred its ownership to the State.

The London-based Al Quds Al-Arabi newspaper quoted media sources close to the Syrian regime as saying that the Syrian government has concluded the legal procedures to transfer the house’s ownership to the State.

There was no comment from the Hariri family on the report.

Meanwhile, Lebanese news sites said the confiscation of Al-Hariri’s house comes in response to the Lebanese prime minister-designate, Saad Al-Hariri refusal to shake hands with Syrian ambassador in Beirut, Ali Abdul Karim Ali.
