Morocco PM slams the Syrian regime’s crimes in Aleppo

December 1, 2016 at 12:57 pm

Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane said the ongoing military escalation by the Syrian regime and its allies in Aleppo is beyond comprehension.

“I feel that the world has died before the crimes in Syria. There are no more compassionate hearts. I can no longer watch the horrible news about Syria. I cannot describe the crimes I see,” Benkirane said in remarks to Quds Press.

The prime minister has called on the world’s major powers to stop the massacres in Syria.

Benkirane has also urged Russia to resolve the crisis in Syria instead of being a party in the violence against the Syrian people.

“What the Syrian regime backed by Russia is doing to the Syrian people surpasses all humanitarian limits,” he said, adding that Russia could intervene and find a solution to the crisis in Syria if it wanted to rather than deepening it.
