‘We have prepared a generation to liberate Palestine,’ claims Hamas military wing

In a statement marking the 29th anniversary of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas – its military wing said on Tuesday that it has “prepared a generation to liberate Palestine.” The Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades noted that this was the dream of the movement’s founders and leaders, Quds Net has reported.

“In 29 years, Al-Qassam has rewritten history, prepared a generation ready for liberation and produced effective weapons,” the brigades’ spokesman said. “The weapons owned and made by Al-Qassam are aimed only at the [Israeli] occupation, while our adherence is very strong to our nation, people and prisoners,” explained Abu-Obaida.

The military wing’s website has a link to a video showing the different stages in the preparation and making of weapons since it was created in the early 1990s. The video covers the making of the brigades’ first pistol up to the drones that were used in action for the first time during the massive Israeli military offensive against Gaza in 2014.
