Footage has emerged on Facebook showing Israeli occupation forces setting fire to Palestinian property in Nablus, West Bank.
Firefighters Under Occupation published the CCTV recording which dates back to 22 September and clearly shows Israeli forces driving past a site in Nablus after midnight. Three hours later, soldiers can be seen setting fire to a wood storage area "without any reason", a Palestinian firefighter explained.
"They stopped the firefighters, not allowed for them to fighting the fires until they [Israeli soldiers] leave all the place," he added.
According to the time stamp on the video, Israeli soldiers set the wood storage area alight at 03:44 while firefighters arrived at the scene at 04:06 by which time the fire was raging.
These two Israeli soldiers who admitted torching the woodshed out of sheer boredom were jailed for just 60 days by a military court November 2016.
