Sarraj calls on Libyan parties to start talks

December 19, 2016 at 8:46 am

The Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj said his hand is extended for all parties to sit at the dialogue table and lead the battle to rebuild Libya and resume oil exportation.

Al-Arabiya news channel reported Al-Sarraj announcing the ending of military operations and the recapture of the city of Sirte from Daesh.

Al-Sarraj has called to unite the military institutions under a military and political leadership because the battle against terrorism is not yet over.

The Government of National Accord announced earlier this month that rescue teams and the Libyan Red Crescent Society had recovered more than 500 bodies belonging to Daesh members from the Giza marine neighbourhood in Sirte.
