Tunisia on Monday invited German Ambassador Andreas Reinicke to explain how an Israeli correspondent working for Israel’s Channel 10 used a German passport to enter Tunisia and produce a TV report on the assassination of engineer Mohamed Al-Zawari in Sfax.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Reinicke was invited by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Bach Tobji to give explanations about the identity of the journalist and his travel document.
According to the statement, the German ambassador pledged to take the necessary measures and to inform the Tunisian authorities in time of the progress of the procedures.
