Egypt, Kuwait sign a judicial cooperation agreement includes transferring convicts

Kuwait and Egypt signed on Tuesday a legal and judicial cooperation agreement. The agreement, which was signed in Cairo, includes articles on civil and commercial issues, criminal and personal status issues, in addition to the transfer of sentenced persons.

The agreement was signed by Kuwaiti Minister of Justice Faleh Al-Azab (who also holds the position of Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs) and Egyptian Minister of Justice Mohammed Hossam Abdul Rahim.

It also includes article that regulate judicial cooperation in the areas of exchange of information and mutual visits and seminars.

A number of Kuwaiti officials attended the signing ceremony, which was held in Cairo, namely Kuwait’s ambassador to Egypt Mohammed Saleh Thuwaikh; Undersecretary Assistant of the Ministry of Justice for Legal Affairs Zakaria Abdullah Al-Ansari; and the Kuwaiti Attorney General, Rujaib Ahmed Rujaib.
