Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with the President of the Syrian National Coalition, Anas Al- Abada, and the Chief Coordinator of the High Negotiations Committee, Riad Hijab, in the Qatari capital Doha.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in Syria especially in the wake of the ceasefire brokered by Turkey and Russia as well as efforts to find a political solution to the crisis.

Qatar News Agency (QNA) said the meeting was also attended by Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan Bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.

Syria has been locked in a devastating war since early 2011, when the Assad regime cracked down on pro-democracy protests – which erupted as part of the Arab Spring uprisings – with unexpected ferocity.
