Israeli settlers have this evening taken to the streets around the occupied West Bank city of Nablus causing Israeli forces to close the Hawara checkpoint in both directions, a Palestinian official announced.

The military liaison official urged Palestinians to use the Awarta checkpoint until further notice, calling on Palestinians who are assaulted or harmed by the settlers of Israeli police to notify military officials immediately.

The settlers’ action comes after Israeli security forces today completed the task or evicting all the illegal settlers in the Amona outpost in accordance with a Supreme Court ruling.
