Iraq is keen to establish close ties with Russia, Parliament Speaker Saleem Al-Jubouri said today.

Speaking during a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Maxim Maximov, Al-Jabouri said Daesh had started regressing and its morale is wavering as Iraqi forces progress in their recapture of Mosul.

The two officials discussed the latest political and security situation in Iraq and the region, particularly the Iraqi army's war on Daesh.
