Hamas-affiliated Change and Reform parliamentary bloc yesterday condemned the Israeli “kidnapping” of its members in the occupied West Bank, the Safa news agency reported.

Israeli occupation forces raided several West Bank cities yesterday evening and arrested Khalid Tafish and Anwar Zannoun, Palestinian MPs from the Hamas bloc.

In a statement, the Change and Reform bloc said: “Returning to the policy of kidnapping the Palestinian MPs is a dirty Israeli policy and organised state terror against Palestinian legitimacy.”

Meanwhile, the statement accused Israel of interfering in internal Palestinian affairs favouring one party over the others.

“All such acts do not succeed to undermine our efforts aiming to achieve our goals,” the statement said, stressing that the Hamas MPs would stick to their principles.

Palestinian news website 24news.ps reported yesterday that Israeli occupation forces and intelligence services raided the house of Hamas official in the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm Anwar Omeer and told him that Israel would never allow him to participate in Palestinian municipal elections.
