The Palestinian embassy in Cairo has informed his family about the news of Khalil’s death, without giving further details about the incident, Waseem Dughmosh pointed out.

He explained that his brother, a Palestinian police officer affiliated to the Palestinian Authority’s Ramallah-based government, has been living in Cairo for 10 years, and he was arrested three days ago for unknown reasons, according to Quds Press.

The family are currently awaiting the arrival of Khalil’s body in the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing for burial.
