A Sudanese journalist has described Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi as an “Israeli baker” and called his government an illegitimate coup government” as insults fly across Middle East airwaves, Arab21.com reported yesterday.
Speaking on Armed Forces Voice, a Sudanese army radio station, Mohamed Yousef launched a verbal attack on Al-Sisi and his regime, calling it a “military coup government.”
“All the international news agencies have rebuked the dirty and infamous Egyptian media,” he claimed on his morning programme. “All of them are wondering why the Egyptian government has allowed its media to insult great countries such as Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.”

In answer to his own question, Yousef continued: “The Egyptian government carried out a military coup against a legitimate government led by President Mohamed Morsi, who is still the legal president of the Egyptian Arab Republic. Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi leads a coup government.”
Egyptian media has no ally in the world except in Israel, he added. “Maybe the government of the Israeli baker [Al-Sisi] allowed the Egyptian media to insult [other states].”
The journalist said that Sudan is heading into an era of development after the lifting of “oppressive” sanctions imposed for 20 years. He suggested that the Egyptians might not be pleased by this. “We do not blame the Egyptian people who love us,” he pointed out, “but [we blame] the government.”
The presenter went on to praise Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. “You have civilisation and history and the Egyptian media does not affect you. You are top in economy, military, politics and sport; where is Egypt?” Anyone who abuses these countries, he concluded, also abuses Sudan.
