Palestinian Children’s Day was marked in the besieged Gaza Strip with local and international NGOs sponsoring activities on 5 April.

The Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip mean Palestinian children live a life that lacks safety and security.

They are exposed to daily Israeli arrest campaigns in the occupied West Bank and are living under threat of Israeli offensives in Gaza.

During the last eight years, the Israeli occupation has launched three major offensives on Gaza that claimed thousands of lives.

A UN report stated that 551 children were among the 2,251 Palestinians killed during the Israeli offensive in 2014.
