Israeli soldiers were attacked on Friday by stone throwing settlers at an illegal outpost in the occupied West Bank, Israel’s Walla news site reported.
The soldiers, who were responding to reports that Palestinians were spotted in the area and there may be a confrontation, were pelted with stones when they arrived at the illegal Binyamin outpost which is located northwest of occupied East Jerusalem.
No casualties were reported.
Settlers at the outpost oppose the presence of the Israeli army in their area. According to Walla, they live a nomadic life and are not connected to amenities or official bodies.
Last week, trees were uprooted in the area of the occupied Palestinian village of Mikhmas, near the outpost. It is thought settlers from the outpost were responsible for the action, Walla reported.
