Jailhouse rock: Egyptian man gets engaged in court

Islam Abu El-Neel, accused of assassinating the former prosecutor-general of Egypt Hisham Barakat, got engaged to be married while he was in the courtroom dock.

Abu El-Neel’s fiancée attended a hearing during the ongoing trial and brought the engagement rings. She even celebrated the engagement ceremony with some of the attendees at the hearing.
